Cornucopia3D Frequent Questions
Why is content cheaper on Cornucopia3D?
Content is cheaper on Cornucopia3D because Cornucopia3D's commission on product sales is extremely low and, because a lot of products are offered as Locked to my license(s) format, you don't have to carry the burden of software piracy. Although you are paying less than anywhere else, Cornucopia3D simply hands over more of your money to the original creator!
What happens if I find the content I bought from Cornucopia3D cheaper somewhere else?
If you find exactly the same stuff (in the same file format) sold at the same time cheaper on another content store, we will refund you twice the difference between what you paid and what you would have paid if you had purchased the content from another store (in the limits of what you actually paid for the content).
Why should I get Vue-only content rather than generic content?
The Vue content you aquire on Cornucopia3D is directly useable in Vue. Because the content is specifically designed for Vue, it can make the best of Vue features. For instance, texturing could rely on procedurally defined materials instead of relying exclusively on memory hungry bitmaps. Also, there are no importing, missing textures or other types of problems: the content is designed to work immediately in Vue.
Why is some Vue content Locked to my license(s)?
To ensure that you, the legitimate customer, don't have to carry the burden of software piracy. The Locking of Vue content to licence(s) is not applicable to "generic" format content. Locked to my license(s) content is clearly identified as such. Depending on the original creator's decision, Locked to my license(s) content may also be available as Standard distribution content (at a higher price).
Do I have to worry about the Locking of Vue content to my licence(s)?
No. You won't even notice that your Vue-content is Locked to my license(s). Please note that Locked to my license(s) objects cannot be exported to other 3D applications (however, plants created from Locked to my license(s) species can be exported).
What happens if I loose my content?
A backup of your content is stored on the Cornucopia3D servers. If you loose your content, you can download it again (up to 5 times) using the links provided on your Cornucopia3D Account Page.
Can I use Cornucopia3D content in other applications than Vue?
"Generic" format content (content that is not in a Vue-only format) can be used in any compatible application. However, Vue-format content can only be used inside of Vue.
Can I export Cornucopia3D content to other 3D applications?
Generic or Standard distribution content can be exported to other 3D applications (provided your version of Vue supports exporting). Locked to my license(s) Vue-format content cannot be exported to other 3D applications. However, plants created from Locked to my license(s) species can be exported.
If I buy Locked to my license(s) content, can I switch to Standard distributions later?
Provided that the content is offered as both Locked to my license(s) and Standard distributions, you can convert your Locked to my license(s) version of the content to Standard distribution for the difference in cost. The cost of Locked to my license(s) content listed on the Cornucopia3D website is valid for up to 2 licenses. Cost may vary according to your number of licenses.
Can I still use my Vue-only content after upgrading?
Yes. If you upgrade to new versions of e-on software products, your Locked to my license(s) Vue content will also work inside these upgrades.
I use Vue. Why are some items in the collections identified as being "Cornucopia3D items"?
These items need to be purchased from Cornucopia3D before they can be used. You can either purchase them from within Vue, or get them here. You can easily hide all "Cornucopia3D items" with the push of a button - but some of these items are actually free, so you should really check them out! Also, remember that if you are a Vue user, you have a free Welcome! voucher to spend!
Can I access Cornucopia3D from within Vue?
Yes, Cornucopia3D is embedded inside Vue. Unless you disabled this option, Vue will automatically establish connections to the Cornucopia3D store whenever you want to buy Cornucopia3D content. Double-click on the content of your choice and place the order directly from within Vue (funds will be taken from your Cornucopia3D account). Downloading will begin automatically; when downloading completes, the content will be ready for use! It doesn't get much easier!
Why are new items appearing in my Vue collections?
Unless you disabled this feature, Vue regularly connects to Cornucopia3D to find out if any new content is available. If new content is available, it will appear automatically in your Vue collections. That way you are sure to always have the latest and greatest selection of content at the tip of your finger! Of course, if you don't like this feature, you can disable it.
