Somewhere in a remote, wet, jungle environment lies Alpha Base - a subterranean outpost buried beneath a mountainous tropical landscape. Only in operation for a short time, the humid environment has taken it's toll on the installation with moss and mildew creeping over the concrete structure and rust finding it's way onto the metallic surfaces throughout the facility. Designed and built as a live-in environment, Alpha Base is completely self contained with internal air, water and power supplies and since it's primary concrete and steel structure lies beneath the landscape, it's extremely secure. Alpha Base is a large scale subterranean sci-fi/industrial environment designed for versatile camera setup and room for entire battalions of troops and heavy vehicles to pass through the halls. Alpha Base includes a large, 50 x 50 foot exterior vestibule access point with a heavy, 35 x 14 foot entry door leading to a cavernous interior hallway system. The interior hall is detailed with overhead power, HVAC and plumbing services and is lit with hanging fluorescent lighting throughout. The 150 foot hallway section is open on the far end and features a 90-degree turnout for easy scene setup and numerous possible camera angles in both directions. Alpha Base includes 52 realistic, high-resolution materials and utilizes high-detail, lightweight design at less than 55k polys. It's constructed of three core modules for easy removal of sections that are out of the camera's view - no need to have the entire interior loaded when you are just rendering an exterior scene. Alpha Base is pre-lit with numerous area lights and associated light materials for easy lighting changes. See the read-me file for instructions on lighting adjustment.
