Hey i'm new to Cornucopia, I have no experience with python Sad . I was wondering if there is a python that creates a jet stream which follows an object. I have Vue 5 infinite.
(I think it's called jet stream, any way its the thing that comes out of some jets that looks like a cloud) I've tried just putting a cylinder with a cloud material and fading out as it gets further behind the plane but if the plane turns it doesnt look realistic because it turns as the plane turns.

Thnx for any help you can give

That would be a very sophisticated python program to create a jet stream which follows the path of a plane. Anyways, even if you could write it, it won't look very good with using a cloud object as the stream. What you need is a particle engine for creating such an effect (e.g. particle illusion).

Hi Simon

I agree with David. If I were asked to do this, i'd probably composite a Particle smoke effect with Particle Illusion 3.

Whilst not inexpensive - it opens up a whole new world of possibilities! Smile

If you wanted to still explore the Python route, have a look at Mark Caldwell's excellent site:

Kind regards
