Ancient Egypt!

This month, we visit one of the oldest civilizations on earth...Ancient Egypt! Egyptian art and architecture are distinctive; you've seen photos of Egypt in movies, books and documentaries. Witness the incredible pyramids, huge mountains of stone created as eternal tombs for the Egyptian God-kings, the Pharaohs. Giant carved pylons lead into mysterious temples with forests of columns and extremes of bright light and darkest shadows. And through the hot desert cliffs, a rich, green and fruitful strip of land surrounds the river Nile, abode of the god Hapi and hiding place for the feared crocodile and hippo. Leap into the chariot of your imagination and take us all back to that most ancient of places, full of magic, Ancient Egypt!

Whether you want to be Indiana Jones and explore ruins in the Egyptian deserts, or a member of Pharaoh's court, wonderful Ancient Egypt!-themed content will be coming into the store this month for you to discover, and you won't need an oracle or a pick and shovel! Plenty of your favorite content as well as terrific new Egyptian treasures will be on special offer for you in the next weeks. Make sure you post in the Store Talk forum if you have any requests or suggestions. And keep watching the store for quick specials...you never know when something cool will go on sale! And remember that users of the free Vue 7 Pioneer are welcome to enter the contest as well!

The Ancient Egypt! image contest will run from Friday, May 29, 2009, through Tuesday, June 30, 2009 (midnight, GMT). Winners will be announced in the Cornucopia3D forums by Monday, July 6, 2009. Images will be judged by the Cornucopia3D moderator and admin staff.

Contest rules:

1. Images must illustrate something from the contest theme, Ancient Egypt!.
   
2. At least 1 (one) item from Cornucopia3D must be used and credit must be given in image upload.
   
3. Postwork is allowed; however, you must state what postwork has been done.
   
4. Images must be original and not been previously posted online anywhere before.
   
5. Images may not be uploaded or displayed elsewhere online until contest is concluded and winners are announced.
   
6. Images must be uploaded to the Ancient Egypt! contest gallery.
   Please take your time when uploading your image and select the correct gallery. Images uploaded to the incorrect gallery will not be considered.
   Cornucopia3D staff can not upload or otherwise edit images for you.
   
7. 1 (one) image per member can be entered in the contest; but feel free to post similarly themed images to the other galleries!
